This joint conference, presented annually the week prior to Thanksgiving, offers school administrators and school board members the latest in educational information and technology through such activities as pre-conference workshops, keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and commercial exhibits.

Be sure to consider attending one of the pre-conference sessions on Wednesday, November 20^th from 1:00 – 4:00 PM.  The topics this year are:

• “Inside Out:  Navigating Board Conflict and the Hidden Costs of Dysfunction” - where presenters will discuss how to best engage everyone, so conflict doesn’t arise and how to work through conflict when it does present itself.
• “Harnessing the Power of AI:  Practical Applications for School Board Members and Administrators” – where presenters will share information on how Artificial Intelligence can be used to assist teachers, school policies on AI, and how you can use it yourself.

We have three general sessions and 58 breakout sessions over the course of the Conference.  There will be something for everyone! 

Registration and Hotel Room Details
Registration for the State Education Conference is a process consisting of two steps.  First, you will register for the Conference; second, you will submit your request for a room at the Conference hotels.

Conference registration will open Wednesday, September 11^th, 2024.  Once your Conference registration is complete, you will receive an email with your Registration code and a Conference Hotel Room Request link.  The room request process will open at 10:00 AM Central Time on Wednesday, September 25^th, 2024.  If you would like to request a room at the Hilton hotel, you must register for the Conference and complete the room request no later than October 20^th.  If you would like to request a room at the Marriott hotel, you must register for the Conference and complete the room request no later than November 8^th.  You will receive an email with specific registration instructions right before registration opens.

The 2024 State Education Conference planned to be held on November 20-22 at the CHI Health Center in downtown Omaha, Nebraska.

The State Education Conference is an annual conference, held since 1919, that regularly attracts over 1,000 school board members and administrators representing nearly all of Nebraska’s public school districts. State Education Conference offers participants the latest in educational information and technology through activities such as:

     * 2 PreConference Workshops
     * 3 General Session Presentations
     * 50+ Breakout Sessions
     * Over 100 Exhibit Booths

Exhibit and sponsorship opportunties are now closed.  Booth space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis with completed paperwork and payment received.
