This workshop will provide business managers in years 1 through 5 with a thorough understanding of common and emerging legal issues that arise in school business matters. These legal matters include scenarios that school business officials face on a daily basis:

  • Overtime
  • Leave Pay
  • Retirement
  • Health Insurance
  • Employee Benefits
  • And More

Attendees will come to understand the legal realities of what business officials may (and may not) permissibly do under the law and commonsense solutions to tricky problems.  

This workshop will give business administrators an excellent foundation and creative ideas on summer planning for the upcoming school year.

Who Should Attend:  Business Officials in their First, Second, Third, Fourth or Fifth Years,  or Business Officials Who Would Like a Refresher on Legal Requirements
