NASB is facilitating a search for a Superintendent for Bayard Public Schools. Bayard is located in the scenic Panhandle of Western Nebraska. The community of Bayard is the home of the famous landmark Chimney Rock, which sits along the Oregon Trail. This landmark rises in front of the Wildcat Hills stretching above the North Platte River Valley.
The mission of Bayard Public Schools is to partner with parents to provide a successful educational experience and diverse opportunities for students. Bayard has an enrollment of 320 students PK – 12. Bayard Public Schools recently completed a strategic planning process that serves as a road map to ongoing success. Bayard Public Schools has updated facilities including multiple gyms, excellent track, beautiful auditorium, and FFA Greenhouse.
Bayard Public Schools is looking for an applicant who can:
Evaluate academic programs and curriculum to ensure additional opportunities for all students
Demonstrate a solid understanding of school finance and manage the budget efficiently
Establish a long-term plan for facilities

Chief Administrator

Educational Service Unit 7 located in Columbus is filling a vacancy for the position of Chief Administrator. Columbus is located approximately 65 miles northwest of Grand Island, 45 miles south of Norfolk and 85 miles west of Omaha. ESU 7 provides services to 19 school districts in seven counties including Boone, Butler, Colfax, Merrick, Nance, Platte, and Polk. ESU 7 has a current Strategic Plan with identified priorities of Mentoring, Professional Development, Customized Services, and Data Stewardship.

The position requires an Education Specialist with a Doctoral degree desired. An additional preference would be for the candidate to have five years of administrative experience in a school district or educational service unit.

The board at the ESU 7 is seeking a forward-thinking professional to provide strong leadership to the staff and board. This individual will possess knowledge of all levels of running an ESU including education policy, ESU budgets and facility improvements. Applicants should also have experience with the programs and services ESU's provide to member schools to support all educators and students.

Superintendent

Weeping Water Public Schools

NASB is facilitating a search for a Superintendent for Weeping Water Public School. Weeping Water is located 40 miles southwest of Omaha and 40 miles east of Lincoln. Weeping Water Public School has an enrollment of approximately 300 students. Weeping Water Public School runs on a four-day school week. Academically, the district has shown steady improvement over the past several years. The school offers an early childhood program serving children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old, a middle school that allows students to experience many courses, and a career academy at the secondary level.

The board is looking for applicants with an understanding of the school budgeting process including grants. The district will benefit from a strong leader who will bring cohesiveness to the district and community, continue to prioritize the improvement of student learning and achievement, and enjoy the benefits of a small, rural district in a great location.

• An open-minded, inclusive and collaborative leader who has strong communication skills and can develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and stakeholders

• A dependable and hard-working leader that understands school systems and believes in being a good listener and lifelong learner
