Superintendent of Schools - Boyd County Schools

Boyd County Schools seeks applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools. The District is located in Spencer in North Central Nebraska, with a PK-12 enrollment of 305 students. The District has a welcoming, caring, involved staff and community; extracurricular activities for all students; high standards for academics and student behavior; and is financially sound with a veteran staff in the area.

The Superintendent of Schools provides leadership and supervision to the faculty, staff, and students of a Nebraska school district in accordance with the policies and directives of the district’s Board of Education.  Candidates must possess or be able to acquire by the opening date of the position, a Nebraska Administrative and Supervisory Certificate endorsed fully or provisionally for the PK-12 Superintendency.   An Educational Specialist degree, Doctorate in Educational Administration, or an equivalent credential approved by the Nebraska Department of Education is required for this position.
