State Standards Draft in English Language Arts Open for Comment

Nebraska's state standards in English/Language Arts have come up for review and revision this year, and after several iterations of stakeholder input, the draft has been approved for review and public comment.

Tricia Parker-Siemers, NDE's Language Arts Curriculum Director, urged school administrators to share the standards documents with their constituents. "As a local control state, we appreciate input from Nebraskans that helps us keep our standards broad enough for local districts to craft curriculm in alignment with the standards we set for the state. Our aim is to help all Nebraskans achieve at the highest levels with the help of clear standards for educators that help guide the process."
