Dr. Dan E. Ernst
- Reports directly to Executive Director
- Be a visionary leader for the organization and a guardian of the interests of its members
- Actively promote the retention of existing members and recruitment of new members
- Advise and counsel the Executive Director on all activities, issues and affairs of the Council
- Assist Executive Director in coordinating activities of the Executive Board
- Secondary public and internal spokesperson for the Council
- In the absence or incapacitation of the Executive Director, supervise staff and coordinate all programs and services
- Maintain and coordinate the Legal Defense Program in the absence or delegation of the Executive Director
- Serve as a voting member of the Educators Health Alliance (EHA) Board of Directors
- Serve as a registered lobbyist and assist the Executive Director as requested on state legislative and administrative issues
- Co-coordinator of production of the NCSA Today publication; share responsibility to produce article from the executive offices for each edition
- Coordinate with Training and Development Director; provide guidance as necessary for the facilitation of the training and development program and services; avail expertise and provide instruction in such areas of professional training as qualified and requested
- Assist Executive Director in the supervision of the activities and affairs of each affiliate association of the Council
- Assist Executive Director on content and design of all NCSA websites as requested
- Promote positive relationships and coalition-building among and between other education entities.
- Individual member issue intervention on specific personal or professional issues
- Advise and assist Executive Director on maintenance of NCSA personal and real property
- Attend and participate at meetings, conferences and events that have a direct or tangential impact on the affairs of the Council as requested or deemed necessary
- Other duties as prescribed by Executive Director
