High School Assistant Principal

South Sioux City Community School District

This position will involve working with staff, students, and parents at the building level. 
The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a team, executing effective
oral/written communication. Established leadership experience in implementing
curriculum, operating within a career academy structure, working constructively in a
team driven environment, and utilizing data to drive continuous improvement
initiatives, is also preferred.  Demonstrated experience in handling multiple projects and
meeting deadlines is essential.

The successful candidate will have experience in building a collaborative culture,
establishing/maintaining high expectations for students and staff by serving as an
instructional leader, the ability to establish and foster strong relationships, and the
capacity to build professional learning communities.

This position offers a 260 day contract period.  Anticipated start date is July 1, 2024.
Selected candidate must hold or be eligible to obtain a Nebraska Administrative
Certification with Secondary endorsement.   This administrative position requires District
residency.

English Learner Coordinator

This leadership position coordinates the District’s EL program through the development of district-wide capacity to build on the strengths of English learners/Emergent bilinguals/Newcomers/Migrant students. This position will address academic and language needs, through mission-aligned data-driven strategic planning, professional development, monitoring, coaching, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

This Coordinator position requires District residency and offers a 210 day contract.
