Legislative Committee

The purpose of the NCSA Legislative Committee is to ensure the proper execution of the NCSA Legislative Program.  The NCSA Legislative Committee consists of nineteen voting members and one non-voting member.  The Executive Director or his/her designee serves as advisor to the NCSA Legislative Committee.  The duties of the NCSA Legislative Committee are to:

  • Analyze legislation under consideration in the Nebraska Legislature and measures that may appear on statewide election ballots;
  • Take positions on specific bills, and resolutions and ballot measures as directed by the NCSA Legislative Committee;
  • Advocate for passage or defeat of selected measures; and
  • Inform members about NCSA positions on current legislation and on statewide ballot measures, and encourage local actions when needed.
